Are You IN?

From Alwyn's blog (he's great at putting out the little challenges):
-------
So close your eyes and picture yourself seven weeks from today at the last party of 2007. Picture yourself standing there - but ten, twelve, or even fifteen pounds leaner than you are today......

It's not too late. All that's left is for you to do it. Are you in?

In other words, if you haven't bought into the stuff I've been saying over the last 10 weeks, then buy into Alwyn- go get Afterburn and get the first 7 weeks done before everyone else begins their "weight-loss journey", so you can laugh when they're only 8 weeks in and you're just finishing up!

And if you don't want the insane intensity of Afterburn (or you aren't physically ready for it), then go get Turbulence Training. You won't regret either program.

I know that I'm in. I've got my ticker counting down, and I'm going to be that person that Alwyn's talking about! Who's going to join me??

Hey Carrie - Ive already done both of those programs so Im going to have to find an alternative but Im sure hoping to be 8-15 lbs lighter by that new year's eve party....wouldnt that just be great?

PS - have you every ran a bootcamp?

I'm in the middle of TT 2k3, and that's intense. I'm also adding in bodyweight circuits and core, along with HIIT as many times a week as I can stomach it.

As for a bootcamp, I've never officially run one. I did an athletic training camp this summer that looked slightly like a bootcamp, but that's about the extent of it. Any reason?

Although Afterburn is one program, Craig has lots of variations of TT. Just recently, he's put one out using kettlebells (but you can also use DBs) and another kind of geared around the 300 Workout. And there's lots of others so you might want to consider checking out one of those.

And, although it may sound like it, I'm not on Craig's payroll. :-)

Mixxter,
Thanks for the comment! I do agree that Craig's got the one thing going for it that Afterburn doesn't, and that's the progression and the variations, as well as several different choices on where to go upon ordering. However, I like both programs and find them both effective. I did have to laugh at the comment on being on Craig's payroll. :D

I asked about the boot camps because Im thinking about running a few and wanted to know how you started up. Guess I'll look into it some more. Thanks!

I'm a little late but I did want to clarify my previous comments. In no way was I denigrating Alwyn's Afterburn. I don't think you can go wrong with either program.

Because marcol had said s/he had already done both TT and Afterburn, I just wanted to point out that Craig has lots of other TT programs available.

Thanks, Mixxter- in no way did I take it to be denigrating to either program, but clarifying points is always a wonderful thing to do. Visited your blog, you're doing well- keep it up!

I don't have a blog, at least not yet so I'm really curious- what blog did you visit?

Hmm, that's a good one, Mixxter- thanks for pointing that out to me- I must've had you confused with another poster- Sorry about that!
